Product Overview
The Finn-Power FP160 is a versatile, high-performance production crimper designed for large-diameter hydraulic and industrial hose assemblies. It delivers a balance of strength, precision, and speed for heavy-duty applications, making it ideal for production lines that require quick setup, consistent results, and dependable performance under continuous use.
Built for professional workshops and manufacturing facilities, the FP160 handles hydraulic hoses up to 6 inches internal diameter and industrial hoses up to approximately 7.95 inches, making it suitable for large flanges, fittings, and custom assemblies. Its robust frame construction ensures long-term reliability, while the integrated die storage system provides convenient access to dies for faster changeovers and reduced downtime.
The FP160 features an advanced ICC control system with a 7-inch touchscreen interface, allowing users to operate in both pressure-crimping (ICC1) and step-crimping (ICC2) modes. This intuitive control setup enhances operator accuracy, maintains crimp consistency, and simplifies the transition between hose types and fittings.
Delivering a maximum crimping force of 3,500 kN, the FP160 combines power with precision. It offers a maximum crimping diameter of 230 mm (9 inches) with master dies and provides a 345 mm maximum opening with +125 mm die travel, making it easy to load large-diameter assemblies. Its 5.5 kW (7.5 HP) motor and 135-litre oil tank support efficient hydraulic operation, while optional Industry 4.0 features such as oil condition monitoring, automatic greasing, and data connectivity allow for improved automation and maintenance tracking.
Compact, efficient, and highly capable, the FP160 is built to meet the needs of industrial production environments that demand high throughput, consistent quality, and reliable control over every crimp.
Key Features
The FP160 provides a maximum crimping diameter of 230 mm (9 in) with master dies and produces up to 3,500 kN of crimping force for large hydraulic and industrial hose assemblies.
The machine can handle hydraulic hoses up to 6 in ID and industrial hoses up to approximately 7.95 in, supporting a wide range of fittings and flanges.
It offers +125 mm die travel and a 345 mm maximum opening without dies, allowing easier positioning and handling of large components.
The FP160 operates with a theoretical 10 mm crimp cycle of 2.3 seconds, driven by a 5.5 kW / 7.5 HP motor and a 135-litre oil tank for dependable power delivery.
It uses both 32-series and 160-series die systems, with master die dimensions of 220 / 116 mm (8.66 / 4.57 in) and standard QuickChange tooling for faster die swaps.
The 7-inch ICC touchscreen enables pressure and step crimping modes, giving operators precise control and consistent results with minimal setup time.
Standard features include QuickChange tooling (32-series), electric backstop, mirror, adapter dies (32-series), and a foot pedal to improve operator convenience.
Optional accessories include a Smart Die Rack (SDR), mechanical backstop, auto-greasing system, Ethernet interface (TCP / IP & UDP), oil cooler, oil condition monitoring, camera with 7-inch display, and full Industry 4.0 connectivity options.
The machine’s durable design has a footprint of approximately 940 × 860 × 1784 mm and a total weight of around 2,020 kg, with the hydraulic unit measuring 782 × 753 × 1043 mm and weighing 220 kg.
